Cable theft plunges parts of Pretoria into darkness
Parts of Pretoria East were left without power on Wednesday following cable theft.
Parts of Pretoria East were left without electricity on Wednesday following cable theft in the area.
The City of Tshwane said in a statement that Mooikloof and Moreletapark were affected by the outage.
“The City’s technicians have located the point where the cable was removed and plans for repairs are underway.”
It is not yet known when the power supply will be restored.
Tshwane metro has apologised to residents for the inconvenience, and has called the theft a ‘despicable criminal act.”
