Water supply to Pretoria West was shut down on Friday morning, to repair a leak to the pipe on the corner of Rose-Etta and Carl streets, the Tshwane metro said.
Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the leak was on the main supply-line to the area and a new one needed to be installed.
“The water supply will be shut from 08:00 until around 15:00. Our technicians are doing all in their power to ensure the interruption is kept as short as possible,” he said.
The Tshwane metro would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused, Mashigo said.
The following parts of Pretoria West will be affected:
· South of Charlotte Maxeke street from Von Wielligh street to Buitekant street.
· West of the railway line of Buitekant Street.
