Petition for more Centurion On-Off ramps
Over 300 people support an online petition requesting more on/off-ramps to reduce traffic congestion in Centurion West leading to the N14.
In an attempt to get authorities to construct more on- and off-ramps leading to Centurion west, an online petition was drafted intended to reduce the high traffic volumes on existing access roads.
Paul Grobler on Friday started this petition after he said he identified high traffic volumes getting out of hand.
He said most motorists often chose the most direct route to a highway and this ultimately resulted in traffic congestion.
“The answer to this is an on-ramp and off-ramp on the N14 and Rooihuiskraal Road,” said Grobler.
“Housing is expanding, why are the roads not.”
Grobler said he had drafted a letter to the Tshwane metro requesting an additional ramp to the highway.
The petition now had 337 online supporters and he was hoping to reach a targeted 500.
People commented on Grobler’s online petition and Maryna Burger said residents of Centurion could definitely do with an additional off-ramp.
Johan van Dyk said Grobler’s point was valid because too many new houses were being built and not enough roads crossed over the N14.
The Tshwane metro said it would respond to the petition in due time.
