A concerning message on Facebook has alleged that a number of IEC ballot boxes have been found lying scattered across Koedoe Park in Rant-en-Dal. The ballot boxes are clearly marked as belonging to Ward 29.
The message also stated that voting documentation was found among the boxes.
The News immediately tried to contact the spokesperson of the IEC for urgent comment about the message and the photos. All the numbers that were contacted went unanswered and an email requesting comment has been sent to the IEC.
