IEC results: Now you see them now you don’t

It is still a very close two-horse race in the 2016 Tshwane metro local elections.

The results see-saw in the Tshwane metro is continuing with the African National Congress (ANC) taking the lead from the Democratic Alliance (DA) minutes ago.

According to the Independent Electoral Commission’s (IEC) statistics, the ANC was currently again leading the capital with 0.08%. This trend up and down trend is expected to continue for the best part of the afternoon.

Currently, the ANC holds 42,94% of the votes and the DA 42,14%.

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have 10,95%.

The close race between the DA (41.81%) and the ANC (41.72%) also continued in Johannesburg where the two parties are neck to neck.

Final results are only expected late tonight.
