99% of Gauteng votes counted

DA still in the lead in Tshwane.

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has counted 99% of Gauteng’s vote on Saturday morning.

It announced that 22 509 of the 22 612 voting districts were completed, 4 322 of 4 392 wards completed and 8 222 of 8646 seats were allocated.

By 09:00 on Saturday, the DA was at 43.36% in Tshwane, ANC 41.01% and the EFF 11.65%.

In Johannesburg, the ANC stands at 42.03%, the DA at 41.39% and the EFF 10.63%.
