A grueling IEC process finally came to a slow close on Saturday when the DA was announced as the official biggest political party in Tshwane.

With neither the DA nor the ANC receiving 50% of the votes, a coalition will be needed to govern the city.

The DA gained victory with 43.10%, ANC came in second with 41.48% and the EFF with 11.71%.
In Johannesburg, the ANC ruled with 42.51% with the DA coming in second with 40.81%. The EFF received 10.74%.

The DA has not announced plans to form a coalition as of yet
