Four killed in Pretoria crash

One of the injured, a minor, was airlifted to a hospital in Johannesburg.

Four people were killed and three others seriously injured when a taxi and a car collided in Pretoria on Friday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Athlenda Mathe said this happened on the N4 near Solomon Mahlangu Drive in the afternoon.

“Two men and two women were declared dead on the scene,” said Mathe.

One of the injured, a minor, was airlifted to a hospital in Johannesburg. The other two were taken to hospitals in Pretoria.

Mathe said the road was closed to clear up the scene of the crash.

“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and authorities are on scene to investigate the cause of the accident,” said Mathe.
