Crawford college, in the east of Pretoria, was proud to boast a 100 pass rate for its 2016 matrics.
A total of 222 matric learners achieved A’s; two learners achieved 8 A’s and another two achieved 7 A’s.
The top learners were:
Mario Alberto Santos Ervedosa achieved an average of 89,31 percent with A’s in advanced programme mathematics, English, history, information technology, life orientation, life sciences, maths, and physical science.
Mario plans to study mathematics at the University of Pretoria.
Robyn Theron achieved an average of 85.54 percent with A’s in Afrikaans, English, business studies, dance studies, history, life orientation, mathematical literacy and visual art.
Robyn plans to study film and media studies at the University of Cape Town.
Hasan Kalla achieved an 87.92 percent average with A’s in accounting, advanced programme mathematics, English, life orientation, life sciences, maths and physical science.
Hasan is planning to study chemical engineering at the University of Pretoria
Klara Schoonraad achieved an 86,85 percent average with A’s in Afrikaans, English, dramatic arts, French, history, life orientation and mathematical literacy.
Klara is planning to study drama at the University of Cape Town
“Both staff and learners are to be commended on their fine efforts,” said principal Andre Botha.
“We are immensely proud of all the learners who wrote their final exams and the results they achieved. We wish them well in their future careers.”
