Dozens arrested in Pretoria

The operation was launched early on Saturday.

At least 35 people were arrested in an anti-crime swoop in the east of Pretoria on Saturday.

The operation coordinated by Brooklyn police was carried out early in the morning.

The security firms Brinant Security and High Risk Security took part.

“The purpose of the operation was to remove vagrants from these areas,” Brinant Security said on its Facebook page.

A number of people were also caught with stolen goods.

“A big thank you to the team for their committed dedication in keeping our community safe,” said the firm.
