The power is still off in Garsfontein Extension 10, parts of Mooikloof, Woodhill, Pretorius Park after is was reported around 08:00 on Monday.

“A yellow plant contractor damaged the main feeder cables between Mooikloof and Woodhill substation,” said Ward councillor Reyaan Uys.
The Tshwane metro confirmed the outage.
“Restoration time will be established as soon as the cables are clearly exposed and the extent of damage is determined.”

Customers were urged to remain patient during this period and to treat all electrical network points as live at all times.
The metro apologised to affected consumers for the inconvenience caused by the outage.
Customers affected by power failures were urged to report power outages by SMSing the word “power” followed by their account number to 44676.
Alternatively, residents could report a power failure through the customer care call centre on 012 358 9999.
