“So far, the team has managed to restore electricity supply to the Monavoni and Heuwelsig areas while Celtisdal is still without power due to overload in the network.
Residents in Monavoni and Heuwelsig are informed of sporadic power interruptions as electricians are working on reinstating power in Celtisdal,” said Mashigo
Mashigo urged residents to use electricity sparingly this winter and report suspected cable thieves.
“Repairs are expected to be completed by noon today and power will then be fully restored. However, the city urges residents to minimise electricity consumption by switching off non-essential appliances,” added Mashigo
