Mayoral spokesperson Sam Mgobozi said the objective of the gathering was to highlight business opportunities in the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) where Dutch companies within Sanec could collaborate with their South African counterparts on developments surrounding renewable energy sources.
Mgobozi said the luncheon provided a platform for dialogue where ambassadors from the SADC region could interact with Dutch and other international companies based in South Africa, exposing Tshwane and its offerings to the international community.
“Through working with Sanec in hosting the event, the Tshwane Economic Development Agency will enhance its objective of cultivating an environment within which the city can grow its human capital and the economy,” said Mgobozi.
He said the discussions were set to highlight the importance of private enterprises in collaborating with government to achieve sustainable development in the renewable energy sector.
