Residents of Brummeria, Pesequor Park, Lynnwood Manor, Lynnwood Ridge, Lynnrodene, and Lynnwood should expect road closures on weekends from 16 September to 8 October.
According to the ward councillor, Pieter van Heerden, the closures were to accommodate Line 2B bus rapid transit system (BRT) project underway.
On 16 September, the following roads would be closed:
– Atterbury Road between Lois Street and January Masilela Drive from 09:00 to 18:00
– January Masilela Drive between Atterbury Road and Glenwood Street from 06:00 to 18:00.

On 17 September, the following roads would be closed:
January Masilela Drive between Atterbury Road and Glenwood Street from 06:00 to 18:00 .
The second road closure will be on 24 and 25 September.
On 24 September, the following roads would be closed:
-Garsfontein, Gobe/Aramist and Glen Manor roads from 06:00 to 18:00.
