Atteridgeville police have vowed to find more members of a gang of hijackers after arresting five earlier this week.
The five caught on Wednesday were believed to have been part of the gang that had been terrorising Atteridgeville the past year.
Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said more arrests were expected to be made
“We are working closely with the community to put these perpetrators behind bars,” he said.

“Following Wednesday’s success, more arrest cannot be ruled out at this stage.”
One of the hijackers was cornered after tip-off and more information emerged that led to the arrest of four others.
Moloto said a washing machine, refrigerator, Plasma TV and two motor vehicle engines were recovered.
The items found in their hiding place were reported stolen, he said.
