Four men ransacked a stationary store in a brazen robbery in Hatfield at the weekend, police said.
Spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach said the culprits made their getaway in a white Toyota Quantum minibus.
Weilbach said this happened on Saturday around 15:40.
The robbers, armed with a pistol, entered the office supply store while the staff was busy cashing up.
The store doors were closed but not locked.
“The suspects instructed the three employees inside the store to open the safe,” said Weilbach.
“The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash, two computers and the cellphones of the employees.”

They got into a white Toyota Quantum that was apparently waiting outside with the driver.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Weilbach said no registration number was available, but the Quantum had some damage in the rear and at the left front.
Indications were that the vehicle had also been used in other crimes in Pretoria.
Reports were received from the police in Silverton and Pretoria Moot of a white Toyota Quantum minibus being used in business robberies in their precincts in recent months.
Weilbach said the “Quantum gang” appeared to be targeting smaller businesses, such as second-hand stores and fast food outlets.
The robberies were mostly committed at closing or opening time.
“We request store owners to check that their security cameras are installed on eye level where facial features will be more recognizable,” she said.

“Parking assistants and security personnel at parking areas and shopping centres must be on the lookout for this white Quantum minibus that is obviously not operating as a taxi.”
Weilbach said the Tshwane Central Cluster police would step up stop-and-search operations and roadblocks in a bid to find this vehicle and its operators.
She urged anyone with information on the matter to notify the police by calling 08600- 10111, by sending an SMS to 32211 or by phoning the Brooklyn police on 012-366-1735/6.
