NEWSFLASH: Attempted cash-in-transit robbery in Soshanguve

"It is alleged that a suspicious vehicle had been following the armoured van when it crashed into the security car that was behind the van."

A security guard was injured during an attempted cash-in-transit robbery in Soshanguve on Monday afternoon.

This happened around 12:00 on the M38 Hebron Road near the R80 intersection, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman.

 “It is alleged that a suspicious vehicle had been following the armoured van when it crashed into the security car that was behind the van,” he said.

Dollman said the perpetrators fled the scene after the crash.

“Netcare 911 paramedics attended to the driver of the car, who was hurt in the crash.”

“The 26-year-old security guard was in a stable condition before he was transported to the hospital,” Dollman said.
