A manhunt was continuing on Monday for armed men who robbed a cash-in-transit vehicle on the N14 at the weekend.

This happened just before the Eeufees Road off-ramp on Sunday afternoon, police said.
It said in a statement the cash vehicle was heading for Pretoria city centre when it was ambushed.
“According to reports, an unconfirmed number of suspects shot at the vehicle from both sides of the road, while a light grey Nissan Pathfinder rammed into the cash vehicle,” said the police.
“The vehicle was bombed and the suspects left with an undisclosed amount of cash.”

Police spokesperson Colonel Lungelo Dlamini earlier said the robbers fled in a white Mercedes-Benz and a white Audi.
He said no injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
Traffic on the N14 towards the city centre was severely affected and Eeufees Road was closed for hours after the robbery.
Police urged anyone with information on the crime to call the police on 08600-10111 or contact their nearest police station.
