NEWSFLASH: Garsfontein woman robbed in her own home

The woman was traumatised and taken to hospital.

A 67-year-old woman robbed in her own home in Garsfontein on Wednesday morning.

Bull security officer Riaan Bam said this happened in Keeshond Street.

“The woman was in her backyard when an unknown man approached and grabbed her. The robber forced her inside, where he stole jewellery, cellphones and other house items,” he said.

Ban said the victim was taken to a hospital.

“When we arrived on the scene, the victim was with police and A-COM security. She was traumatised and paramedics transported her to hospital,” he said.

Police spokesperson Captain Ilze Jones said the robber and an accomplice, who apparently stayed outside the house, were still on the run.
