UPDATE: Still no arrest in Centurion woman’s murder

A witness alleged that two men and a woman had dumped Rademeyer’s body in the Hennops river on 12 September in 2015.

A police investigation into a two-year-old murder in Centurion appears to have come to a standstill.

Rekord reported about the killing of Elchenette Rademeyer (26) in 2015.

She was found dead at the Hennops Pride Caravan Park next to the R55 in Erasmia on 13 September of that year.

Erasmia police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto confirmed on Wednesday that the police were still investigating a murder.

No arrests had been made.

Rademeyer was found with marks on her neck.

At the time, a witness said two men and a woman had dumped Rademeyer’s body in the Hennops river on 12 September.

According to the witness, the three were driving a blue Audi A3 and dumped the body between 16:00 and 17:00.

The police’s victim identification centre (VIC) compiled frontal and profile images of the deceased to provide the public with an indication of her appearance.

A resident recognised the deceased on the images and alerted the family. The body was identified by her family.

Rademeyer’s family was not aware of her disappearance as they did not live in the same house.

In 2015, in follow-up reports, Moloto also said police were still investigating and that no new information had surfaced.

He urged anyone with information to come forward Investigating officer Constable Moima could be reached on 083-317-7150, or 012-370-1777.
