Two men were arrested for an attempted carjacking in Hennopspark, Centurion on Thursday morning.
This is after a police patrol responded to a call for assistance from a man in Blackwood Road, said Wierdabrug police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma.

The man had parked his car by the side of the road to take his dog for a walk, when he was confronted by two men who threatened him with a knife.
The suspects searched the man, and took his car keys and money. They then forced him back into his car.
Huma said the men tried to start the victim’s vehicle, but failed. The suspects finally ran away when a car behind hooted at them.
The responding police patrol searched for the would-be hijackers and found them in a nearby veld before arresting them.
Huma said a case of robbery was opened.
The suspects, aged between 27 and 32, are in custody and will appear in the Pretoria magistrate’s court soon.
