A teenage girl from Gezina has been missing for a week.
The 14-year-old Sinesipho Mbenga, who is a learner at Iona Convent, was last seen on 27 April in Gezina.
Her aunt Nomfundo Pitso told Rekord that Sinesipho left her home to visit a friend nearby.
“She left her home around 13:00 to visit a friend who lives nearby. When she left, we told her to return home before 18:00, but we started to get worried when she did not.”

Pitso said the family later that night went to the flat where Sinesipho was supposed to be.
“When we arrived, the flat was empty and one of the flat dwellers said the family had left to Limpopo for the long weekend so we assumed she had left with the family,” she said.
“On Monday, her friend came back from Limpopo but Sinesipho was nowhere to be found. She said the last time she saw Sinesipho was on Thursday at school.”
Pitso said she was praying for her safe return.
According to the Pink Ladies Missing Children’s Organisation, Sinesipho was wearing a beige top, dark blue pants and beige sandals when she was last seen.
