A man was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon following a hijacking in Bronkhorstspruit.
Police spokesperson Captain Johannes Maheso confirmed the murder took place at around 15:00 on Saturday.
“The unidentified man was hijacked on the corner of Prinsloo and Church streets,” said Maheso.
The three hijackers then took the man to a nearby graveyard where he was shot and killed, according to Maheso.
He could not confirm how many times the victim was shot.
“Details about the shooting should be revealed in the post mortem,” said Maheso.
He said the three hijackers then fled with the victim’s vehicle.
It is believed to be a white Nissan NP200 bakkie with a canopy.
