Two north ‘drug dealers’ busted

The dealers led the police officers to his alleged supplier.

Two alleged drug dealers were nabbed in Ga-Rankuwa, north of Pretoria, during Tshwane metro police’s crime prevention patrols earlier in the week.

“At around 14:00 on Wednesday, 19 September, while conducting patrols in the drug hotspots of zone 1 in Ga-Rankuwa, members of the drug unit spotted an African male who was fiddling with what seemed like drug paraphernalia,” metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba said.

The man was approached by the officers, who proceeded to search him with the suspicion that he might be in possession of drugs.

“He was found with 11 wraps of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of R440,” he said.
