Two men suspected of breaking into a car at an Erasmuskloof restaurant crashed into a car driven by a woman during their bid to escape capture.
No one was injured in the collision.
The incident took place on Friday before Bull security received a call from the owner of the restaurant who apparently witnessed the two men break a vehicle window and steal a laptop.

Bull security spokesperson French Jooste said when security officers responded the call, a chase between the alleged robbers and the officers ensued.
“Our reaction officer tried to box them in, in January Masilela Drive but they rammed into his vehicle.
“The chase continued onto Garsfontein Road where police joined the chase,” Jooste said.
He said the men lost control of the car and crashed into another vehicle that rolled as a result.
In the vehicle Jooste said, was a woman and her children.
“There were no injuries.”

The men jumped out of the vehicle and tried to flee, but one of them was intercepted by a taxi driver.
The second man was eventually caught
Jooste said there was a hunt for the specific vehicle the robbers were using as it had been linked to a similar crime on a previous occasion at the same restaurant.
Two weeks ago two men driving the same car were caught on video reportedly breaking into a car and stealing a laptop in Waterkloof.
Jooste could not confirm if these were the same people.
The men were handed over to Garsfontein police.
