
Tshwane metro technicians are currently replacing stolen cables, following cable theft in the west of Pretoria.
The stolen cables were replaced at the hospital substation, Pretoria West on Monday, said spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.

“The theft has impacted on the power supply to Danville, Phillip Nel Park and Elandspoort suburbs,” he said.
Mashigo said it was estimated repairs would be finished by midnight.
Meanwhile, technicians are also busy with repairs to a faulty cable in Waterkloof Ridge, he said.

“It is anticipated the power supply will be restored by 20:00,” he said.
Consumers were advised to treat all electrical points as live and affected.
Residents were urged to report power failures.
