UPDATE: Eldoraigne traffic circle completed

“Especially motorists coming from Eldoraigne high school will be very relieved to find the circles installed. We have even had a few accidents in the past at the intersection.”

A traffic circle in Cradock Avenue, Eldoraigne, which is expected to bring some calm to traffic in the area has been completed.

The circle was built on the intersection of Saxby and Cradock avenues near Eldoraigne high school.

Local ward councillor Cindy Billson said the circle comes after a limited amount of money had been made available.

Billson said she understood the intersection had been a “thorn in the side of motorists” for several years.

“The circles will definitely help to make it easier to get into Saxby Avenue,” she said.

“Especially motorists coming from Eldoraigne high school will be very relieved to find the circles installed. We have even had a few accidents in the past at the intersection.”

Billson said any money left over would be used to provide further traffic calming measures on the road.
