The trial of a man accused of the murder of an Eersterust resident has been postponed to October.
Father of the deceased Denzil Jafta said the man appeared in the Pretoria High Court on Wednesday where the case was postponed for the police to serve a witness with a subpoena.
Denzil said the trial was set for 28 October to 8 November.
Dean Jafta was shot dead in Midrand more than two years ago.
He had been reported missing in May 2017 and his bullet-riddled body was found later in the month.

However, his family only learned of his murder in November last year as police had been unable to establish his identity.
The accused Mark Booysen has denied he had anything to do with the murder.
Meanwhile, the court also heard evidence of a second murder in which Booysen was allegedly involved.
Eersterust resident Ulrich Heugh was shot dead a few months after Jafta’s murder.
The police believe the same firearm was used in both crimes.
