Pretend shoppers rob garage safe

Staff members suffer minor injuries after armed suspects rob a garage in Pretoria North.

Two armed men robbed a convenience store at a petrol station in Pretoria North late Saturday afternoon.

“The robbers posed as clients and pretended to buy something from the shop when they suddenly pulled out their firearms,” said police spokesperson Caption Matthews Nkoadi.

“They then forced the staff to the back of the shop where the office is. Here, the robbers assaulted them and demanded the keys to the safe.”
