Cops arrest three for drug possession

“The suspects will appear in court for possession of and dealing in drugs soon."

Three people were arrested for alleged drug possession by Tshwane police flying squad officers during a stop-and-search operation at the weekend.

“One was arrested for dealing in dagga in Akasia after he was found with dagga,” spokesperson Constable Buhle Rahatji said.

“Another one was also arrested for dealing in dagga in Block F, Soshanguve.”

Rahatji said he was found in possession of 72 packets of dagga with an apparent street value of R1 000.

“They further arrested one suspect for dealing in nyaope in Sunnyside,” she said.

The nyaope was valued at an estimated R4 000.

“All three suspects aged between 20 and 33, will appear in court for possession of and dealing in drugs soon,” Rahatji added.
