NEWSFLASH: Second attack, same victims in less than a week

The attackers said they had returned to finish the job.

Last night two workers were attacked on a smallholding in Lusthof north of Pretoria for the second time in less than a week.

At around 21:30 local CPF received a call to report that Juliet Road residents had been attacked for the second time in six days.

The two were first attacked on 2 July and when they called the CPF, the robbers had instructed them, at gunpoint, to tell the CPF member who answered the phone that all was well instead.

Last night a group of suspects broke the door to gain entrance into the house and an occupant alerted the CPF, said an area anti-crime coordinator.

The CPF, GAC Risk solutions and other security companies swiftly responded to the call.

On arrival at the scene the reaction vehicles scared off the suspect who fled the premises by foot.

The victim told the reaction officers that the suspects had told him they were back to kill him and collect the goods they left behind during the first time robbery.

It is believed the suspects tied the victims up with cable ties and stole electronic devices.

Constable Herman Moremi, spokesperson for the Hermanskraal police confirmed the incident.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery,” Moremi said.
