NEWSFLASH: Body of west woman found

She was last seen on Saturday evening in the Zama Zama informal settlement.

The police are investigating a case of murder after a body of a missing woman was found in Hercules on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was last seen on Saturday evening in the Zama Zama informal settlement, said police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto.

“Her family reported her missing the next day and a missing person file was opened at [the] Hercules police [station]. With assistance from the community, the body of the 47-year-old woman was found in the nearby bushes on Monday afternoon,” he said.

Moloto said a case of murder was opened at the Hercules police station for further investigation.

“We appeal to the community to come forward with information which could lead to the arrest of the suspects.”
