
Rietgat police arrested 37 people for various crimes over the weekend.
The arrests were for armed robbery, common assault, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of drugs, theft of motor vehicle, driving without a driver’s licence, business robbery, theft, contravention of protection order, pointing of firearm, burglary and drinking in public.
Station commander Brigadier Ramakamakama Kekana thanked police for putting in an extra effort and hours to ensuring that wanted suspects were apprehended and charged.

Kekana also extended his gratitude to the community for its continued support for informing the police about criminal activities and the whereabouts of wanted suspects in the precincts.
The arrested will soon appear in the Soshanguve Magistrate’s Court.
