Police seize drugs worth more than R100 000 in Centurion

A rape-accused who was on the run was also arrested.

Four people were arrested for possession of drugs estimated to be worth more than R100 000 in Lyttelton at the weekend.

The suspects – aged between 33 and 50 – were set to appear in court for drug possession soon, according to police flying squad spokesperson Constable Buhle Rahatji.

In addition to the arrests, Rahatji said several stolen motor vehicles were also recovered during police patrols and stop and searches.

The vehicles included a white Honda Ballade, a white Mazda, a silver Volkswagen Polo, white Volkswagen Golf, white Nissan Hardbody and a white Nissan 1400.

“The vehicles were reported [stolen] this month,” she added.

A Modimolle, Limpopo, rape accused escapee was also among those arrested.

“The suspect was arrested in Mamelodi,” Rahatji said.
