Papa Penny mourns death of stepson

the family has yet to come to terms with the news.

Legendary Tsonga disco king Papa Penny is grieving the death of his 23-year-old stepson Nicholas, who allegedly committed suicide at the Soshanguve train station.

Nicholas was the firstborn son of Papa Penny’s wife, Mama Nomi.

The Soshanguve police said that an inquest docket was opened on Thursday afternoon around 16:00.

Constable Portia Sebone said according to his grandfather, Nicholas left home around 15:00, saying he would soon be back.

“At around 22:00, his grandfather started to worry when his grandson did not return home and he informed his father who tried to call him, but his phone went on voice mail and he also called his friends and they also did not know where he was,” said Sebone.

Sebone said it was around 23:00 when his grandfather started to search his room and found a letter with the message that he was going to kill himself at the Soshanguve train station.

Nicholas will be buried in Soshanguve on Saturday.
