Suspected serial rapist operating in parts of Pretoria wanted
Police are offering a reward of up to R50 000 for information that may lead to the successful arrest and conviction.
An alleged serial rapist linked to cases in Mamelodi, Rietgat, Loate, Hazyview, White River, Culcutta and Lulekani is on the police‘s most-wanted list.
“The suspect may be travelling between Gauteng and Mpumalanga,” said Gauteng police.
The police appealed to anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of the suspect known as Mandla Sibusiso Masango to come forward.
“Masango who absconded bail while he was appearing at Hazview magistrate’s court in 2013, has since been involved in rape cases in Gauteng between 2014 and 2016,” said police.
He said the police offered a reward of up to R50 000 for the information that may lead to the successful arrest and conviction of Masango.

Masango was allegedly involved in the double murder of two girls aged eight and nine in Thokoza in May 2018.
“Their bodies were found in an open veld between Maphazela and Mkhathizwa primary schools on 15 May 2018, after they had been reported missing. One child was covered in a duvet and the other was found in a black sports bag.
“A warrant for his arrest has been issued. Anyone who may have information may contact the investigating officer Sergeant Pule Kotelo at 082-414-5286 or Crime Stop at 08600-10111 at all hours.”
