Suspect linked to a school robbery arrested in the east

He was found in possession of stolen computers.

Boschkop police have arrested a man who was found with stolen computers belonging to Lesedi secondary school.

Last week, the school was broken into for the third time in a space of two months, according to police spokesperson Constable Yeroboam Mbatsane.

“Last week, the suspects broke into the school and stole laptops, computers and cash that was in a safe,” he said.

On Monday, a man believed to be in his 30s was arrested after he was found in possession of stolen computers.

Mbatsane said the suspect made his first appearance at the Cullinan Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

“He remains behind bars and is expected to appear again for a formal bail application.”
