The Tshwane metro is attending a cable theft that resulted in a power outage in the Pretoria North central business district on Thursday.
Due to the magnitude of the repair work, the power supply is estimated to be restored only after midnight, said Tshwane metro spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
“The City apologises for the inconvenience that might arise from this interruption.”

All customers affected by power failures are urged to report them to establish the extent of the outage.
Customers should report at customer care centres on 012-358-999 or SMS the word “power” to 44676.
