The manager of Yamaha in Pretoria North Marinda Eloff received a call from the security company to let her know that the alarm was activated at around 19:20. “When they got there, the shop was wide open,” said Eloff.

Afterwards, Eloff took a look at the shop’s CCTV footage where she saw a group of unknown suspects breaking and entering the shop.

In the footage, a car and a bakkie were seen approaching the shop. The bakkie reversed to the entrance of the store after which four suspects jumped off from the back of the bakkie.

A fifth suspect who was supposedly a passenger inside the other vehicle also joins the group at the entrance of the shop. The four suspects then hit and kicked the door and entered the shop moments later, while once stood guard at the door.

Within seconds, two suspects dragged the motor out of the shop and loaded it onto the back op the bakkie. Shortly after that, other suspects exited the shop with a second motor.

Three suspects then jumped on the back of the bakkie while the fourth got in the front passenger seat before fleeing the scene.

The fifth suspect was believed to have got into the vehicle parked out of sight of the camera.

The motors that were taken were a 70 and 25 horsepower motors.

She also praised members of the Sinoville police station for excellent service.

The Sinoville police spokesperson Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk confirmed that a case of breaking and entering a business and theft was being investigated.
