A woman was found brutally beaten at the Daspoort tunnel in the west of Pretoria on Tuesday morning.
She was found just outside the tunnel on the Phillip Nel Park side, said chairperson of AfriForum’s Pretoria West neighbourhood watch, Francois Oberholster.
“I got the call around 08:00 this morning,” he said.

“As soon as I received the call, I phoned the necessary people to go to the scene.”
Oberholster said the woman was found badly beaten.
“She was found naked and her eyes were swollen and she could not open them,” he said.
“The woman was in a very bad state when she was found.”

He said she supported by Community Reaction Unit (CRU) members until medical personnel arrived on the scene.
“After she was treated on the scene, she was transported to Kalafong hospital,” he said.
The police did not comment by the time of going to press.
