A local singer and music producer from Centurion has released a brand new music video.
The music video for the song, Kalmeer my as ek rof raak, was filmed and produced in Centurion, according to the artist Jacques Leonard.
The 23-year-old singer has released a number of songs on various online streaming platforms, but believes the new video is a sign of big things to come.
“I studied music production after graduating from Hoërskool Waterkloof,” Leonard said.
“After completing the three-year course I decided to take a break.”
“You hear about how difficult it can be to make it in the music industry, so I ended up considering other career paths. But the music kept calling me back.”

Leonard started working with his friend, Stevo Kay, to produce his first music video for his song Suiderkruis.
The video was released on YouTube last month.
“Three weeks ago we started working on the video for Kalmeer my as ek rof raak,” he said.
“We shot the video and produced it here in Centurion and it was released on YouTube on Monday.”
The video was filmed and produced by Casper Labuschagne.
Leonard, who grew up in Pierre van Ryneveld, said he wanted to do more than just make music.
“I want to make a difference.”
“That is why I feel when someone has listened to my music they should hear a message and see a vision.”
Leonard said his process for writing music involved “shutting down completely musically”.
“Before I write a song I don’t tend to listen to any other music,” he said.
“This is because I want to create a unique message. I want the listener to know they are listening to me and me only.”
