Pretoria Central Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said the man was arrested during a routine patrol.

“Police came across three suspicious-looking men and when they stopped them, two managed to escape. One was arrested and upon investigation, more than 60kg of train signal copper cable was discovered in his possession,” she said.

All confiscated property was positively identified by Prasa officials, Selepe said.

“He along with the two others found with drugs were arrested and taken to the Pretoria Central station.
