A Pretoria North family is growing increasingly worried after their relative Lizzy Topnini Shokane failed to return home last week.

“She left saying she was going to the CBD but did not return home,” Shokane’s brother Mpho Sithole said.

He said it was worrying they last heard from her last week, 2 October, on the day of her disappearance.

“We don’t even know if she arrived,” the distressed Sithole said.

Shokane was travelling to the city centre of Soshanguve.

Akasia police spokesperson Constable Lindiwe Mdluli confirmed a missing person docket was opened.
