It appears that a man, who was murdered in his Rietondale home during a house robbery, fought the robbers before they killed him.
Edwin Muller (32) was found dead at his Rietondale home by his 64-year-old mother, whom he shared the house with, around 18:40 on Wednesday.
“He was found with multiple stab wounds to his body and a contusion to the head,” said Pretoria Moot CPF chairperson Elsabe van Staden.

In a previous article, police spokesperson Captain Anton Breedt said the robbers gained access to the premises through the back door, which they broke open.

Van Staden said the door was broken open with a spade.
She said it appeared that the attack happened earlier in the afternoon.
“It is difficult to determine the time, but rigor mortis had already set in by the time officials arrived on the scene,” she said.
