NEWSFLASH: Woman wounded in a Centurion mall robbery dies
Police are working on leads and have launched a manhunt for an unconfirmed number of suspects believed to be travelling in three vehicles.
A woman was shot and killed during an armed robbery at the Blu Valley mall in Centurion on Thursday morning.
A group of men armed with rifles and pistols charged into a store at Blu Valley mall, The Reeds, where they took a number of cellphones, laptops, and TV sets, said police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters.
“The suspects fired shots and one female employee was wounded, rushed to hospital and has since succumbed to her injuries.

“Police are working on leads and have launched a manhunt for an unconfirmed number of suspects believed to be travelling in three vehicles, two of which are maroon. One of them is a (Nissan) Almera, and a white Toyota,” said Peters.
A mall spokesperson confirmed the robbery but said a full statement would be released later.
