
A 19-year-old man died following a shooting in Laudium just outside of Centurion on Tuesday evening.
The incident happened in Taj Street around 17:40, said Ibraheem Dockrat of Laudium Disaster Management.
“The man had a single gunshot wound to his neck,” said Emer-G-Med spokesperson Jacho van der Poll.

“Resuscitation efforts were continued until an advanced life support paramedic from Netcare 911 arrived on scene. He then determined that the patient had no chance of being revived and declared the man dead.”
Details are vague but according to unconfirmed reports, the shooting followed what neighbours described as “people fighting”.
Van der Poll said police arrived on the scene and calmed family members and bystanders down.

According to a bystander, shocked members of the family and members of the community were gathered in front of the house.
Police could not comment at the time of going to press.
