East woman stabbed during an alleged street brawl
A local security guard saved her life by calling for emergency services to assist.

A young woman, believed to be a student, was stabbed in the upper body outside a popular night spot in Hatfield following an alleged street brawl over the weekend.
“Vincent Nhlapo, an Axon Reaction manager came from a site visit when he noticed students fighting in the street,” said Johann de Villiers, COO of Axon Security group.
Nhlapo stopped to investigate and contacted emergency services when he came across the woman who was bleeding from the chest.
“Whilst waiting for the ambulance Theo Breedt [also from Axon security], who is a qualified first responder, did a very good job to keep the woman calm and stable until an ambulance arrived,” said De Villiers.
Police were unable to confirm the incident at the time this article was published.
