A man was robbed of his Rolex watch at the Atterbury Value Mart in the east of Pretoria on Thursday afternoon.
A Brinant security response officer said the incident took place around 12:30.
“The man was in his vehicle when suspects driving in a silver Mercedes Benz parked behind him,” he said.
A group of three men got out of the vehicle and allegedly approached the man’s car, broke the window and snatched his Rolex watch.
“One shot was fired.”

The shopping centre confirmed the incident saying the matter was under investigation at the Garsfontein police station.
“On 28 November, a customer was robbed in the parking area with a firearm,” said the spokesperson Rozanne Hartze.
“No one was hurt during this incident and we are co-operating with SAPS in the investigation.”
Hartze said the safety of customers was of the utmost importance to the centre and that security was being beefed-up.
