
A security guard was transported to hospital for medical attention following what police refer to as a “cross pavement robbery” on Friday morning.
The incident happened at Kit Kat Cash and Carry in Pretoria West, said police spokesperson Colonel Brenda Muridili.
“It is reported that the security guard was collecting money at the store,” she said.

“On his way to the cash van, he was allegedly approached by a man, who shot him in his right leg.”
She said the security guard was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.
“The suspect and his accomplices fled the scene in a white SUV,” she said.

She said all role players, including the police and ambulance services were on the scene.
Kit Kat Cash and Carry was approached for comment, but had not provided any by the time of going to press.
