One dead, two wounded in Olievenhoutbosch shooting

"The man had been shot several times and showed no signs of life."

A man in his 40s was shot and killed and two women injured following a shooting in Olievenhoutbosch on Tuesday evening.

According to ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell, paramedics arrived on the scene at 18:20.

“A large crowd of bystanders had gathered. The man had been shot several times,” he said.

He was declared dead on arrival, Campbell said.

“The two women, one believed to be in her 50s and the other in her mid-30s, had suffered gunshot wounds to their legs and were in a serious condition,” he said.

“Paramedics treated and transported both patients to Kalafong Hospital for further care.”

Details surrounding the incident were yet unclear, but police were on the scene to investigate.
